Silly story

A dinosaur once saw a chap with LOVE and HATE tattooed on his fingers. He
decided to get the same, so he stuck his foot through the door of the tattoo
parlour. "My needles won't get through your scales" said the startled tattoo
artist.

A road mender was using a pneumatic drill up the road, so the dinosaur asked
to borrow it.

"We've got another problem" said the artist. "You only have three toes on
your foot".

Now that was a puzzle!

Just then a Professor walked past, so they asked him for advice.

"That's easy" said the Professor. "Just do it in Latin".

So now a dinosaur is walking around with ODI and AMO on his toes.

I don't agree with all this texting. If I ever get a mobile phone it will be just for talking, and I'll leave it switched off until I have something to say.

I have a mobile phone, but refuse to use it for texting. The keys are a pain in the bum to use for that purpose. We don't live in the best of neighbourhoods, so taking it with me when I'm out walking does give a small measure of safety. I was reading a 10 yr olds essay recently. She had used text spelling all the way through. Made it rather difficult to understand. Apparently though, that is now okay, according to her teacher. It's now the expression they are looking for and not the spelling. Wonder if any future employers will agree!!!

I find texting very hard to read.

Why don't they just talk on the phone?

To me, talking on the phone is much easier. Texting involves too many extra steps. I think that in many ways, it points to the further isolation of individuals in our society. Sad, really.
